Job Description
We are looking for a talented baker who has minimum 3-4 years of experience in a commercial bakery/kitchen.
We are a small artisan bakery, with current working hours of 6am-2pm, Monday to Friday, based in Greenpoint, Brooklyn (one block from the Greenpoint Ave G Train)
The ideal candidate has the following qualities:
-Open to learning new techniques, such as vegan, gluten-free baking and wild fermentation
- punctual, reliable, with good problem solving skills
-Ability to weigh, mix and bake products based on recipes and kitchen standards
-Experience with large mixers, large ovens, and familiar with a commercial kitchen work flow
-Attention to detail, thoughtful, organized in your work
-Comfortable with working for 8+ hours, standing, lifting up to 50#, packing, portioning etc
-Must be eligible to work in the U.S and has a food handlers license
-We speak both Spanish and English in the kitchen.
Hours are Mon-Friday, 6am-2pm with some variation at holiday times. We provide breakfast snacks and a healthy lunch daily.
