Job Description

A Gas Station Cashier is responsible for handling customer transactions, maintaining the store's cleanliness and organization, and ensuring a positive customer experience. They process payments, restock items, and may assist with basic maintenance tasks like cleaning and troubleshooting equipment. Responsibilities:

• Process Transactions: Accurately and efficiently handle customer payments for gas, merchandise, and other products using a cash register or computer.
• Customer Service: Provide friendly and helpful service to customers, addressing inquiries and resolving any issues.
• Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized work area, including restocking shelves, cleaning surfaces, and removing trash.
• Inventory: Assist with inventory management, including tracking stock levels and alerting management when items need to be restocked.
• Cash Handling: Accurately balance the cash drawer at the end of each shift and report any discrepancies.
• Security: Monitor the store for suspicious activity and report any concerns to management or authorities.
• Other Duties: May assist with tasks such as working in the kitchen,making food and performing other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic math skills and the ability to operate a cash register or point-of-sale system.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift items.
• Reliability and punctuality.
• Previous cashier or retail experience preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.95 per hour

Expected hours: 34 - 38 per week
