Extrusion Process Technician

Location: Bakersfield, CA Starting Pay: $18.50 Schedule: Monday-Friday

This position is responsible for assisting in line setups, minor machine and extrusion tooling troubleshooting, minor maintenance repair and tear down of all extrusion machines as applicable to insure a safe and efficient product environment resulting in finished product that adhere to the quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance on extrusion machines, tooling, and related equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Assist higher-level Process Technicians with line/tooling changes, process start-ups, machine performance, and required paperwork.
• Help identify correct materials and attach them to the extrusion machines.
• Operate a forklift (or work toward obtaining a forklift license).
• Support the Quality Policy and follow all quality system procedures.
• Perform and document QC measurements, including visual inspections.
• Complete production tickets accurately.
• Trim and package parts according to specifications.
