Job Duties: Direct and monitor work during planting and harvesting of crops; Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops such as handling grain, repair and clean augers, trucks, bins, bags, and associated equipment; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment including cleaning and field prep; Inform farm managers of crop progress; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped with GPS) to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops; Load agricultural products into trucks without over or underfilling bed or trailer, and drive to market or storage facilities; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; Maintain inventory; Haul and spread topsoil, fertilizer, and other materials to condition soil; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery; Attach implements using hand tools; Haul farm commodities such as herbicides, fertilizer, seed, other products; Haul manure from feedyards to fields; Mow/clean premises and equipment and; other duties as assigned. Must be able to speak/understand English. 1 hour lunch break offered. Employee is expected to comply with the following rules and regulations: Clock in and out each day at the shop time clock. Employee must notify supervisor of any time that they are not available for work. If employee misses a clock entry, attempt to edit the entry and email the mistake to andy@hinemanfarms.com; Employees are expected to keep their vehicles clean and free of trash. This includes the exterior as needed and farm vehicles (sprayer, trucks, tractor, etc.) Empty trash when you refuel; Employees are expected to keep track of their tools, lubricants, fuel, etc. located on their vehicle. A basic list of equipment and tools should always be available on each vehicle. If employee needs supplies or tools, D&A Farms will purchase equipment; If tools or vehicle contents are lost or damaged due to negligence on Employees part, the Employee will be responsible for replacing lost or damaged items and any repairs necessary to the vehicle; Employees will receive gas, water, and electricity utilities free at the house. Employees are allowed to install internet or television service at their expense; Employees are expected to conduct frequent cleanings of the house and maintain the yard. That includes trimming weeds and mowing; An inspection of the house will be conducted every other paycheck to assure cleanliness is acceptable; Employees are expected to do their own laundry, including towels and linens from house, at their own expense; Employer will not provide advance pay or loan money to employees under any circumstance. Employee will use provided vehicles for daily trans. within Lane Co. If employee leaves Lane Co for personal reasons, Employee must get approval from supervisor & refuel farm vehicle with gasoline at employee expense. Employees will be able to use farm vehicles for a max 240 personal miles/month. Employees will be responsible for any lost, stolen or damage that occurs to farm vehicle or contents while being used for personal use. Must be able to speak and understand english. Employees can purchase their own means of trans. D&A Farms has committed to improving the work environment for all workers. The planned Initiatives include the following: 1. Employees shall receive harvest bonuses equivalent to 0.1% of all grain harvested by D&A Farms. Harvest bonuses will be calculated and paid following each harvest. 2. Paid sick leave shall be part of the compensation package and shall accrue at the rate of four (4) hours of sick leave every two-week pay period. Sick leave may be claimed for pay on any paycheck. 3.

Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
