**General Operator -- First and Third Shift -- Weekly Pay!**
**Job Description**
This role involves local labor for the Conditioning Season. Successful candidates will work in a fast-paced environment, assisting in various operations throughout different seasons. The role includes inspecting and maintaining seed crops, managing seed inventory, harvesting, and packaging, depending on the time of year. Candidates must specify their preferred position and shift when submitting their resume.
**Responsibilities**
+ During September-October: Receive and process trucks hauling crop from the field, including weighing and unloading.
+ Complete a wide range of harvest activities such as husk and sort operations.
+ Operate dryer to dry crop while adhering to safety, quality, and financial requirements.
+ Shell and store crop from bins in the dryer facility.
+ Supply the Conditioning department with a constant supply of seed and apply appropriate treatment.
+ During November-March: Label, tag, bag, and palletize seed.
+ Enter inventory information into a computer.
+ Stage seed for shipment in the warehouse.
+ During April-August: Retag in-house seed and re-bag returned seed.
+ Inspect pro boxes to ensure they are free of debris and clean, and wash them as necessary.
**Essential Skills**
+ Knowledge of production agriculture and plant operations.
+ Ability to safely perform duties in a timely fashion while maintaining seed quality.
+ Capability to work independently or as part of a team.
+ Adaptability to changing conditions and anticipation of needs.
+ Skill in making independent decisions.

This is a Contract position based out of York, NE.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
