A growing grant writing firm based in New York seeks a grant writer/researcher for ongoing work within the Small and Emerging Nonprofit Grants Program. The ideal candidate has some experience with grant writing and working with nonprofits. Strong possibility to grow within the company to take on larger clients.
Candidates will be expected to have a professional demeanor, strong organizational skills, strong communication skills, time-management skills, and the ability to work independently and in teams. Candidates should be able to manage multiple clients and deadlines simultaneously. To start, the position will work 5-10 hours/week and increase hours quickly as we grow our client base. Flexibility in scheduling and a college degree are preferred. Comfort with Zoom, virtual work, and G suite preferred.
Successful candidates will live in New York State. Most work can be accomplished from home or remotely. Candidates are expected to use their own computer, wi-fi, and car, as needed for assignments. Responsibilities and Duties
Research grant opportunities most suitable for the client
Work with clients to develop LOIs, proposals, and applications for funding
File submissions on time with all required attachments
Work independently and effectively in a home office or virtual environment
Keep accurate logs of time worked on behalf of each client
Communicate with Choice Words' teammates effectively
Approximately 5-10 hours per week with growth potential as we expand
Qualifications and Skills
Some grant writing experience
Research skills (familiarity with Foundation Directory Online preferred)
Bachelor's Degree
