Job Description

Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Warranty HVAC Technician to join our growing residential service team. This role is ideal for an experienced technician with strong diagnostic skills and a deep understanding of HVAC system performance, warranty procedures, and customer service. The Warranty Technician is responsible for handling service calls related to newly installed systems, ensuring all warranty work is completed efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with manufacturer and company standards.

This is not an entry-level position — we're looking for a technician who can represent our company with professionalism, integrity, and technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems (furnaces, AC units, heat pumps, air handlers, mini-splits, and thermostats) under manufacturer or labor warranties.

  • Accurately assess whether issues fall under warranty coverage and clearly document all findings.

  • Perform detailed inspections and testing of equipment installed within warranty periods to ensure system integrity and performance.

  • Coordinate with internal departments, manufacturers, and distributors to verify warranty claims, obtain parts, and ensure proper documentation.

  • Communicate with homeowners in a clear, respectful manner — explaining issues, recommended solutions, and warranty coverage.

  • Complete service reports and warranty documentation accurately and thoroughly in a timely manner.

  • Follow up on previous warranty calls to ensure customer satisfaction and system functionality.

  • Maintain a high standard of workmanship and adhere to all company, manufacturer, and safety guidelines.

  • Keep service vehicle stocked, clean, and organized with necessary tools, parts, and warranty documentation.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of hands-on HVAC experience , preferably in residential service or warranty-related work.

  • EPA 608 Certification (Universal) required.

  • Solid understanding of HVAC electrical, refrigeration, and airflow diagnostics.

  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, service manuals, and warranty terms.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

  • Must be reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently in the field.

  • Comfortable using tablets or software to document work orders and access job info.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • NATE certification or equivalent industry credentials.

  • Experience working with various brands and manufacturer warranty processes.

  • Previous experience in installation (helpful for evaluating workmanship during warranty calls).

  • Strong customer service background.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive pay based on experience, with performance-based incentives

  • Company vehicle, gas card, and mobile device

  • Company-provided tools, uniforms, and PPE

  • Paid holidays, vacation, and sick time

  • Medical, dental, and vision benefits

  • Ongoing training and certification support

  • Opportunities for advancement into senior tech, field supervisor, or QA roles

About the Role & Future Growth:
As a Warranty HVAC Technician, you'll play a critical role in upholding our reputation for quality installations and responsive customer service. You’ll gain valuable experience handling complex diagnostic work, coordinating with manufacturers, and navigating the full lifecycle of HVAC systems post-installation. For technicians looking to grow, this position offers a solid stepping stone to roles in field supervision, install quality assurance, technical training, or even operations management.

Apply Today and take the next step in your HVAC career with a company that values your experience, rewards your performance, and supports your growth.
