Duties and Responsibilities:

Provides quality care and services by administering medication and treatments in a safe organized manner.
Reviews, reads, notates, and initializes Daily Log to document pertinent information about residents.
Administers, assists with, and observes medications and treatments for residents using the MAR.
Ensures that medications are passed according to times.
Documents and initials as medications are given and ensures that appropriate documentation is completed for refusal or missed doses.
Restocks medication cart after all medication passes.
Reports all resident concerns made while administering the medication to the nurse.
Counts all narcotics with another Medication Tech each shift.
Practices routinely good standard care precautions of cleanliness, hygiene and health
Audits Medication carts.
EVERY OTHER WEEKEND SHIFT.
