Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides quality care and services by administering medication and treatments in a safe organized manner.
• Reviews, reads, notates, and initializes Daily Log to document pertinent information about residents.
• Administers, assists with, and observes medications and treatments for residents using the MAR.
• Ensures that medications are passed according to times.
• Documents and initials as medications are given and ensures that appropriate documentation is completed for refusal or missed doses.
• Restocks medication cart after all medication passes.
• Reports all resident concerns made while administering the medication to the nurse.
• Counts all narcotics with another Medication Tech each shift.
• Practices routinely good standard care precautions of cleanliness, hygiene and health
• Audits Medication carts.
• EVERY OTHER WEEKEND SHIFT.
