Job Title: Senior Design Manager
Location: Toronto, Ontario
Type: Contract
Compensation: $65 - $70 hourly

in Toronto, ON Canada. Accountabilities: - Responsible for conducting comprehensive conformance reviews of the station and guideway design packages, incl. engineering reports, drawings and models, against Project Agreement requirements and interface documents
- Distribute review responsibilities among project team members as required
- Coordinate with Contracting Authoring to develop and maintain review schedule
- Prioritize and monitor progress of the reviews
- Manage review distribution lists and review sessions in Bluebeam
- Brief Project Engineering and Interface Management on the findings
- Prepare and submit Review Comments Sheets
- Maintain review progress report
Required Skills/ Knowledge: - Minimum 5 years’ experience in industrial engineering, mass transit engineering, subway station design, MEP engineering
- Prior experience with basic Project Management:
- Solid understanding of clash detection principles
- Strong prior experience with Microsoft Office suite, scheduling software (MS Project or Primavera), requirements management systems, and software configuration tools
- Prior experience managing small-medium sized projects and project teams
- Demonstrated ability to lead, engage, and manage tasking of cross-functional teams of varying skills/experience
- Success with multi-tasking across multiple projects at given time
- Builds effective relationships and has exceptional communication and leadership skills
- Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Undergraduate Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Systems Design) from an accredited University or Equivalent Technical Experience
Desired Skills/ Knowledge: - Mass transit domain construction or design experience is strongly preferred
- Experience in overall systems design methods and principles
- Experience in multi-disciplinary design reviews
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams
- Clear Criminal Background Check.
Education: - Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- Ontario P.Eng (must)
