About the Talent Acquisition Specialist position

We are looking for a skilled Talent Acquisition Specialist to lead, drive, and administer a best-in-class recruiting process by sourcing, attracting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding employees to achieve short-term and long-term goals.

Talent Acquisition Specialist responsibilities are:

  • Coordinate with hiring managers to identify company staffing needs and develop hiring plans
  • Determine selection criteria for candidates; foster close relationships with hiring managers to ensure clear candidate/interview expectations by conducting intake meetings with managers and other members of staff
  • Work closely with all members of the talent acquisition and HR Team to ensure the staffing needs of the company are being met, with a long-term strategy in mind
  • Devise and implement sourcing strategies to build pipelines of potential applicants
  • Source applicants through online channels and other professional networks
  • Utilize additional social media outlets to promote the company and increase applicant flow
  • Manage job postings and candidate flow via an Applicant Tracking System (ATS); create and update employee data in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
  • Create job descriptions and interview questions that reflect the requirements for each position
  • Identify and refine the most suitable talent from available candidates. Develop and nurture applicant pool to ensure a qualified base of screened applicants to fill openings when required
  • Plan interview and selection procedures, including screening calls, assessments, and interviews
  • Organize and attend job fairs and recruitment events to build a strong candidate pipeline
  • Keep records of all materials used for recruitment, including interview notes and related paperwork according to company policy and best practices
  • Ensure an effective recruiting process by creating realistic job expectation awareness
  • Follow up with candidates concerning assessment and screening outcomes
  • Maintain spreadsheets to track applicants and department KPI's; create and present reports on recruiting performance
  • Manage relationships with vendors to include background and drug screening, physical assessment, online assessments, and other pre-employment testing
  • Develop and maintain relationships with staffing agencies; coordinate to fill temporary employee openings to include on-boarding, training, and ensuring proper management of timecards
  • Manage Hankook's internship program; develop relationships with local and regional colleges
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management 

Talent Acquisition Specialist requirements are:

Education: 

  • (Required) bachelor's degree
  • (Preferred) human resource management or organizational psychology major or advanced degree in a related field 

Experience: 

  • (Required) 2+ years of previous relevant experience
  • (Preferred) previous experience in high-volume recruiting in both hourly and staff recruiting in the manufacturing industry 

Language:

  • (Required) good command of written and spoken English

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Administration and Management - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
  • Personnel and Human Resources - Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems
  • Law and Government - Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, agency rules, and the democratic political process
  • Psychology - Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders
  • Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
  • Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents
  • Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times
  • Monitoring - Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to frequently move about the manufacturing plant campus, general office environments, production areas, and occasionally ascend/descend stairs
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
  • Must be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery
  • Must be able to position self to file documents including the top and bottom drawers of file cabinets
  • Must be able to occasionally move office equipment and supplies weighing up to 25 pounds
