Key Responsibilities of a Transportation Safety Manager:
As a Transportation Safety Manager , you will:
- Oversee and enforce driver and fleet safety protocols across designated zTrip locations
- Conduct regular safety audits, vehicle inspections, and compliance reviews
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of certifications, background checks, and drug testing
- Investigate vehicle incidents and accidents, and support development of corrective action plans
- Stay current on local, state, and federal transportation laws and safety regulations
- Collaborate with local operations teams to ensure consistency in safety practices
- Assist in developing and delivering effective driver safety and compliance training
- Communicate professionally with drivers, management, and regulatory agencies
