Gastro Health is seeking a Full-Time Specialty Pharmacy to join our team!

Here are some of the duties you will be responsible for:

  • Assist the pharmacist in prescription workflow such as:
  • Registering patients in Pharmacy Software
  • Completing prescription intake by reading medication orders and prescriptions; preparing labels; calculating quantities.
  • Adjudicates claims through insurances and completes necessary authorizations for approvals
  • Filling prescriptions
  • Cashier duties and scheduling deliveries
  • Helps health care providers and patients by greeting them in person and by phone;
  • Maintains pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed medications and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt; removing outdated drugs.
  • Maintains a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
  • Maintains records by recording and filing physicians' orders and prescriptions.
  • Generates revenues by calculating, recording, and issuing charges.
  • Prepares reports by collecting and summarizing information.
  • Keeping inventory counts and a clean workstation
  • Complies with all federal and state pharmacy laws and regulation pertaining to the pharmacy technicians roles in the practice of pharmacy

Minimum Requirements

  • Current and unrestricted Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) Certification - required
  • Current and unrestricted Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPT) License - required
  • Understand medical terminology / physician orders
  • Problem-solving skills to work with patients and providers
  • Customer service skills
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a team
  • Ability to perform pharmaceutical calculations, identify drug names and use
